NEXT G CLOUD is looking for a talented and motivated Junior Cyber Security Architect to join our growing team. As a provider of managed cloud services and Confidential Computing solutions for enterprise clients across industries such as finance, public administration, legal, and automotive, the company specializes in designing and securing scalable infrastructures.

You will become part of a team of highly skilled professionals, supporting Senior Architects in the development and optimization of hybrid cloud security architectures for edge and multi-cloud environments. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to collaborative projects at both European and international levels.

This role represents an ideal launching pad for candidates who want to combine strong hands-on cybersecurity experience with a strategic system design perspective.

The position is primarily based in Turin, Italy, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.



Key Responsibilities


Architectural Support:
Assist Senior Architects in the design and implementation of hybrid and multi-cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Security Operations & Tooling:
Support the implementation and operational management of security technologies, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption solutions, firewalls, and SIEM systems.

Vulnerability & Risk Management:
Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate weaknesses within client infrastructures.

DevSecOps Approach:
Collaborate closely with cloud engineers, DevOps teams, and IT stakeholders to integrate security best practices and controls directly into development and deployment processes (CI/CD).

Compliance & Standards:
Contribute to the development of policies and technical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, NIS2, SOC2, HIPAA) and support activities related to industry standards (e.g., ETSI, GSMA, CAMARA) and European regulations (e.g., CRA).

Continuous Improvement:
Stay up to date with the latest threats (threat intelligence), tools, and cloud-native frameworks, proactively proposing improvements and innovations.



Required Skills & Experience


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience (including internships or relevant academic projects) in cybersecurity or cloud engineering.
  • Solid understanding of core cybersecurity principles and key frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
  • Basic knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and its related security services.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols, RESTful APIs, and application security principles.
  • Excellent proficiency in Italian and good command of technical English to work effectively in international environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience with, or strong interest in, Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), Docker containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent).
  • Basic knowledge of advanced technologies such as Linux kernel technologies (e.g., eBPF) or Confidential Computing environments.
  • Basic understanding of Incident Response processes, Cloud Forensics, or Zero Trust security models.
  • Academic or professional experience participating in European or national research projects.
